2. What Data We Collect

Website enquiries and consulting preparation may involve:

  • Contact enquiry data (name, email, company, and message) if you use the contact form or email us directly
  • When you ask us to scope a review: scheduling preferences, an optional phone number, brief call notes, priorities, approximate device and account counts, provider names and practical requirements supplied by email or questionnaire. A visit address is requested privately only if needed to arrange an agreed visit. Scoping calls are not recorded.
  • Technical contact metadata, including your IP address and browser User-Agent, for abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and delivery of your enquiry
  • A short-lived Cloudflare Turnstile verification token and related security signals when you submit the contact form
  • Aggregated page-view information, referrer, device type, browser, operating system, and approximate location through Vercel Web Analytics

Do not send passwords, recovery codes, children's personal details, private account content or customer records. Unknown technical answers are fine; we ask only for information relevant to your proposed review.

3. How We Use Your Data

Contact enquiries and their technical metadata are used to respond to your message, prevent automated abuse, diagnose delivery problems, and protect the website. Scoping information is used to understand the job, prepare a quote and arrange the agreed work, not for marketing or analytics. Aggregated analytics help us understand which pages are useful and improve site performance. We do not sell personal data or use enquiry data for marketing without explicit consent.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Processing is carried out under legitimate interests for responding to enquiries, securing the website, preventing abuse, and understanding aggregate site performance. Necessary steps you request before entering an individual consulting contract, such as preparing a quote, use the contract lawful basis. For enquiries from someone acting on behalf of a business, we use legitimate interests in responding and scoping the proposed engagement. Consent is used where applicable.

5. Data Retention

Contact enquiry data, including the IP address and User-Agent included with the enquiry, is retained for up to 12 months and then deleted. Pre-booking questionnaires, scheduling correspondence and scoping notes follow the same maximum period and are deleted sooner when no longer needed. If you proceed with paid work, the information and retention arrangements for engagement records are explained before work begins. Turnstile verification tokens are used only to validate a submission and are not stored by this website. A keyed, pseudonymous version of the submitting IP address is kept in Upstash Redis for no more than 15 minutes to enforce the per-address contact limit; an aggregate counter is kept for no more than one hour. Vercel Web Analytics uses rotating, non-cookie visitor identifiers for aggregate measurement.

6. Service Providers

We use Vercel to host the website and provide aggregate analytics, Cloudflare Email Service to deliver contact enquiries by email, Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) to receive, store, and respond to enquiries and arrange scoping calls, Cloudflare Turnstile to verify that contact submissions are legitimate, and Upstash Redis to enforce short-lived contact rate limits. These providers process limited data on our behalf under their own security and data protection terms. Google Tag Manager is loaded only when explicitly enabled in the site configuration; non-essential tags must not be enabled without an appropriate consent review.

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the right to access your data, correct inaccurate data, request erasure, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected].

Mackie AI Enterprises Limited is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office under registration number C1895868. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.
